BookMyShow looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to create and carry out planned and exploratory tests to verify product quality. QA engineers are responsible for designing and implementing tests. You'll also go over system requirements and monitor quality assurance metrics (such as defect density and open defect counts).
The QA function is critical to our company's product development process. Our ideal applicant will be in charge of running testing prior to product launches to guarantee that software functions smoothly and efficiently. We'd like to meet you if you have a technical background. Finally, to achieve quality requirements, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system issues.
Job Profile
● Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
● Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases
● Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
● Design, develop and execute test cases
● Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
● Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
● Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
● Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
● Monitor debugging process results
● Give UAT Demo to Product team
● Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open
defect counts
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Good analytical and problem solving skills
Job Checklist
● Able to report bugs/issues and provide the cause of the issue along with bug/issue identification, to developers.
● Good knowledge of Manual Testing concepts and Good Manual Testing Skills.
● Ability to derive Important test scenarios from requirements and able to write good test cases.
● Ability to work under tight timelines of delivery
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
● Good Experience on Defect Life Cycle, defect Tracking Tool using JIRA.
● Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
● Having knowledge in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
● Having knowledge of performance and/or security testing is a plus
● BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related
subject
